The path to a great community

I'm not even sure if what we have now can be considered a community yet, but I know this is only the beginning.  I've been bed ridden for the past two days, and before that time, I didn't really care about building a community. It was all about that little group of people I assembled over the internet. Taeron, fayis, chuzzie, Adrian, katniss even... I remember when I could barely keep up with our book clubs' wall and we had nearly 20 active members! Now we've been reduced to 7 or 8, not because we as a community weren't up to par, but because our previous platform wasn't. It was something to be outgrown, not to live with.

We're in new ground now. No more posts will be riddled with hashes unless WE feel like it, no more harmless replies will be deleted unless WE command it, and most importantly, nobody else stands to benefit from the fruits of our struggles. Our accomplishments here are ours alone, and can't be tainted by false benefactors.

Nope, I ditched that piece of cap for phpbb. We have more opportunities with this, since our framework is designed for community building. The old website was ugly, limited, and a poor contender to a multi rank system, and sported few features in comparison to this.
