Re: Define "Utopia" in one paragraph.
I'm not a bully, I'm protecting you.
Perception is truth, popular opinion is reality, certain reality is a paradox. I tell the truth, whether it's reality or universally true is up to the world. My truth is that Utopia is damnation in and of itself.
Any realm, dimension, reality, and fantasy has its' discord... But it's not a bad thing. Discord is what defines good as something tangible. Without it, happiness would be hollow; empty as the vacuum of space.
Happiness would simply become existence, something adapted to and forgotten. Every bad thing making good better, every light making dark darker.
Without contrast, there is no identity. Without identity, there is no person. Without people, there is no truth. Without truth, there is no reality. Without reality, there is no existence. Without existence, there is no society. Without society, there is no Utopia.
Utopia becomes normal after you get used to it. You conform and may not pay much thought to it, but once you're in a utopia there is no identity because contrast is discord. It collapses the very idea of human existence. It's artless.
That is why I hold the idea of heaven with disdain.
What does it mean to feel if you only feel one thing?
What does it mean to think if you think the same as everyone else?
What does it mean to forego your own life to become someone else?
Most importantly, though... If there are no shadows left in a soul, where is the light? In fact, why is hell dark? What is so awful about shadows, whom arouse the fancy of our imagination? Why are those that refuse the world order condemned, the ones privy to discord in purity?
They chose identity over indemnity.
What did you choose?

I'm talking about Utopia. You can't make a Utopia without someone seeing problems in it. A problem means it's not a Utopia.

Rayblon,
Utopias are non-existent, in my opinion. Even if you do drug people, or push them into a corner to something they can all be pleased, or happy with, at least one person will not be able to preserve the status quo, and try to create some new method, since they are not happy. A long with that, as so far as humans get bored, they will not be happy, only despaired. You can't keep people happy, there will always be faults, and soon everything would collapse in the "Utopia."
Because Utopia's are something that will make everyone eventually upset, because humans carry different perceptions on different philosophies. Because no one can have the same opinion on something forever.
And even if a Utopia is only "Near Perfection," there will never be a point that people can meet to.
It's simple human psychology that this is not feasible.
Because people have opinions, and differing philosophies/psychology acts.
That's my thinking though.
TL;DR?
Basically; A utopia cannot be done, because no one can be happy at the same time. Because no matter what, we will experience emotions that will want to rebel, envy, or despair, which causes different philosophies/opinions. A utopia is just not feasible forever.
utopias r gros 2 me yyyyy
